Regional Banks Short

My commercial real estate background gave me an edge here. I knew what was happening in CRE, and I knew regional banks would be in trouble because of it. I waited for the right moment and seemed to have caught a local top in the space.

I expressed the trade primarily through shorting KRE, the regional bank index, with the majority of the position there. I also shorted individual names — OZK and ZION — to add targeted exposure to the banks I thought were most vulnerable.
